Committed to supporting patients, families and staff

Volunteer with us

Established in 1997, the Friends of the Hospital have made a huge impact on the lives of patients, families, and all staff. Their invaluable contribution has added considerable value to the services we offer to the community.

The group oversee a number of support services for patient and visitors, including:

  • kiosk
  • trolley service to wards
  • meet and greet
  • wayfinding for visitors
  • knitting and sewing for patients
  • general light gardening
  • refreshing flowers
  • provisioning of toiletry kits for patients arriving in ambulance
  • interacting with patients needing extra cognitive care
  • renal patients transport .
